The Hyperspectral Mineral Detection (HMD)TM software package is unique in that it is capable of reading an individual spectrum and classifying it without user intervention. Hyperspectral imagery is complex and difficult for most people to grasp much less extract meaning. The HMD is meant to simplify that.
All you have to do is select an ENVI-formated file and HMD does the rest. The output is a classified image in ENVI format. Current implementations are for mining applications including Rare Earth Elements and mining related minerals such as sericite, jarosite, amphibole, etc. See below for current list. HMD can be modified for your needs including vegetation and other materials. Currently runs on Windows 7.
Detectable Rare Earth Elements*
Samarium (Sm)
Neodymium (Nd)
Europium (Eu)
Dysprosium (Dy)
Erbium (Er)
